TODAY: Walmart Free NYC Seeks Answers from Walmart Board Member

WALMART FREE NYC TO SEEK ANSWERS ABOUT COMPANY’S ACCOUNTING CONTROLS FROM WALMART BOARD MEMBER

Walmart Board Member Michelle Burns Sat on Audit Committee During Company’s Reported Corruption Scandal and Cover-up

New Yorkers Will Ask What She Knew, and When She Knew it

New York, NY- Today, members of Walmart Free NYC will visit the offices of Walmart Board member Michelle Burns to find out what, if anything, she knew about the company’s widely reported bribery scheme.

Burns, along with fellow NYC-based Board member Christopher Williams, sat on the board’s audit committee at the time of the alleged probe and cover-up.

New Yorkers today will ask Burns if she had knowledge of the alleged scheme and failed to notify authorities, or if she wasn’t aware of the bribery, and the company’s internal accounting controls are inadequate.

When: Today, Thursday, April 26th @ 11AM

Where: 1166 6th Avenue, New York, NY
